Sage Grey Finance Limited (“Sage Grey Finance” or “the Company”) is a finance services company incorporated in Nigeria. We are licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and are integrated into the Nigerian Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS). We are members of the Finance Houses Association of Nigeria (FHAN). We offer Lending Services (Project Finance, Asset Finance, Corporate finance, Consumer Loan, etc.), Fund Management Services, Advisory Services, and other services as authorized by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Role Purpose
- The HR Officer will support the effective delivery of core HR operations by implementing HR policies, managing employee lifecycle activities, maintaining accurate records, and supporting employee engagement and compliance initiatives.
- The role requires a hands-on professional who can execute HR processes efficiently while upholding organizational values and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities including job postings, CV screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
- Prepare offer letters, onboarding documentation, and employment contracts.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and induction programs for new hires.
- Maintain recruitment trackers and reports.
HR Administration & Records:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (physical and HRIS).
- Manage employee data updates including promotions, transfers, leave, and exits.
- Prepare HR letters such as confirmation, promotion, warning, and exit letters.
- Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of HR documents.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and internal communications.
- Assist in conflict resolution and employee grievance handling in line with company policy.
- Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with company values.
Performance & Learning Support:
- Support performance appraisal cycles including form distribution, tracking, and documentation.
- Assist in coordinating internal and external training programs.
- Track training attendance and post-training reports.
- Support buddy, shadowing, mentoring, and management trainee programs.
Leave, Attendance & Payroll Support:
- Administer leave requests and ensure compliance with leave policy.
- Monitor attendance records and follow up on discrepancies.
- Support payroll preparation by validating HR inputs (resumptions, exits, salary changes).
- Liaise with Finance on payroll-related matters.
Compliance & Policy Implementation:
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and internal guidelines.
- Support policy reviews and employee sensitization sessions.
- Assist with audits and regulatory HR documentation where required.
Reporting & HR Metrics:
- Prepare routine HR reports (headcount, attrition, leave, training, etc.).
- Maintain HR dashboards and trackers.
- Provide data and insights to support HR decision-making.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- 1–3 years of hands-on HR experience in a structured organization.
- Knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
Key Competencies & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using HRIS or employee data management tools.
- Good understanding of HR policies and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision.
- Problem-solving and conflict-handling skills.
- Team-oriented with a service mindset.
